Website update!
| Finally made a decision to just leave this site as it is (again, historical) in memory of a brilliant idea and as an example for my consulting of what IS possible at a Lan center. Links are available at both my current and this old site to "swap" between them. Nothing further will be 'active' here, all activity should be spent at the "Samurai Computer Systems ACTIVE site".
As far as CFLC is concerned.. Last I read from the internet, there is an inter-company lawsuit going on over the mismanagement of business and funds. Rumors keep popping up of people trying to re-open it, but nothing further to my knowledge than simple rumors. |

What's news nowadays? Posted by CFAdmin - On Tuesday, July 24, 2007 |
Welp, alot has happened since my last post. First off, turns out Pam and co. were actually ripping off the public, with s short-term, grab all the cash you can and run scheme. To those of you who paid, my heart goes with you, and also thought of, "when will you start believing me about her?"...
On to better news, however. USA Management (the owners of the building which housed CFLC) seized possession of all the assets which comprised CFLC. That is, they locked the doors on Pam. Shortly after, I'm told the management team put it up for sale, as is, and contacted a few people. One of the groups, an already up-and-running Lan Center elsewhere, bit, and long story short, CFLC is, once again, opening. Opening new and fresh, no ties whatsoever to the former management, they should be set for business. I, as well as a few others have been helping, where possible, but with another shop under their belt, they've pretty much got it under control. I am told they are also working with all the people ripped off by the former management by offering anyone who had paid some compensational time and membership.
Also in the news, Rooster (me) has acquired the domainname rights to our website, so the archive site will be moving to it's own server instead of being a branch off this one (where this news will be doubled, and more will follow). I will also include links there, and possibly here to the NEW owners website located at: www.ColdFusionLC.com for those searching for the current company and all it's related info. Although I have already posted as such on their website, I would like to take this time to PERSONALLY wish the new group the best of success with CFLC. The place can be be not only a blast to run, but really a solid business venture if managed properly. And remember - ALWAYS pay your employees. That's it for now - More to come..

WHAT???? Posted by CFAdmin - On Tuesday, July 25, 2006 |
Welcome to either Lanfest.dyndns.org OR Samurai Computer Systems. No one knows what's going on with Cold Fusion LAN Center, least of all me. I have created this website "In Memory" of *MY* baby. Working on removing anything that "shouldn't" be there, but for the time being, please forgive.. Mainly this is here as a reference to many things regarding the operation of a LAN Center. The forums are active, again mainly for historical reasons, but feel free to start new posts.

Updates... Posted by CFAdmin - On Monday, September 12, 2005 |
Hey all :)
Been getting alot of emails lately about what's going on with CFLC. With all that's happened, and the lack of "new news" on here feeding those minds I thought I'd take a moment and comment.
As the regulars at CFLC know, I (CFadmin/Rooster/Dave) recently moved to Arizona. This move is only temporary, and I will be returning, assuming I'll be taken back. Rest assured though, the only thing you'll be missing is my goofy presence there in the shop during this time. A good majority of what I did I will still be doing.
You of course know the other news, and we would like to thank you for all your kind thoughts and comments, and prayers. For these reasons I've been telling people who ask in the forums and via email/messenging that the best way to get updated for the short-term, is to come on down to the shop. Check the white-board by the entrance, or ask the staff, and of course keep checking here!
A reminder as well that we ARE back on school/winter hours. This means weekdays are 2-10pm, not 4-2am!!

Looking back, and ahead.. Young Gunz Halo 2 Tourney! Posted by CFAdmin - On Monday, April 25, 2005 |
---Young Gunz---
Thanks to everyone, parents and kids/players for being part of our first ever Young Gunz Tournament. There were a bunch of teams and certainly good times, the two most important things to have :)
---10man Rumble Pit---
This event is highly anticipated by us to be hot! No teams, no one to watch your back. It's all up to you to do good and avoid respawns! There are still spots available, though it is filling up.
---Upcoming Events---
Check out the forums for the latest. Here's a glimpse: Lock-In's, Halo2 4v4, and Unreal Tournament 2004 DeathMatch!
---Professional Halo 2'ers, WarHammer fans---
We are working on a partnership with a tournament organization for at least Halo 2, possibly WarHammer:Dawn of War. Players will compete locally at first and move on through regionals and finally a national championship. Keep your eye peeled on the events area in the upcoming month for more info!

Tourney Turnout... Posted by CFAdmin - On Sunday, April 03, 2005 |
Ok.. This post is going a few places. There are three tourneys coming up. Young Gunz, a 3v3v3, and the 10-man rumble.. This is not an official word, merely a warning. For all of these events there is a whopping 2 people signed up. For our last tourney (the 2v2), there were a whole 10 teams, quite a poor turnout. Considering the buzz for another 2v2 after our awesome 4v4, we were quite disappointed in the number of teams who showed up. Now I understand there were some work/school commitments, and maybe family vacations. If this trend of poor turnouts continues, then we will be reconsidering doing tourneys in general for Halo2, or no longer offering a set prize amount, and instead base it off of the number of players who show up.
That said, I urge you all who are considering attending, or have attended in the past to get in and get signed up. If attendence continues on the path as the last one did, these might be the last of 'em.
